With the funds that have been raised so far we were able to host a sports day for refugee children. The day involved volunteers setting up a mini-sports day for 50+ children of the ages 3-12 in the morning, involving classic sports day games such as an egg and spoon and sack race. In the afternoon volunteers organized a series of five-a-side football matches for the older children, with about 20 teenagers being involved in the football matches in total. Thanks are deserved for Evelyn’s gift who gave us the ability to be able to provide refreshments throughout the entire day to the children, and to the volunteers at Jessica’s Promise that gave up their time to run the event.
